Kanpur Weekend Recap
This past weekend we were in Kanpur and had an amazing time interacting with the locals. As part of a student program with TERI, we were able to visit the Huddard Girls School where we chatted with the girls about what our lives were like at home, on the road and also Ganges issues. They had 3000 students – all girls! These girls were amazing and asked us the most interesting questions. It was hard to say goodbye at the end of the day.
We were also able to host our second TERI River Show. Many students in Kanpur participated, and told stories of the issues with the river through art, dance and storytelling. Below are some snapshots of their dance and beautiful artwork.
In addition, we had the opportunity to participate in a Google+ Hangout with students from IIT Kanpur and Rajendra Singh. He revived 5 rivers in Rajasthan, and we were very fortunate to be able to chat with him! View a recap video of our Google Hangout here.
Lastly, this past weekend we were able to participate in a radio broadcast on 92.7 BIG FM. Meet Sid, our wonderful radio host!

We’re showered and ready to hit the river and get back into our camping routine. Leaving Kanpur for the river and camping en route to Baksar Bridge, Dalmau, Manikpur, and then Allahabad by the end of the week. Stay tuned for more of our adventures to come!
