Born: March 21, 1977
Marcia is an engineer specializing in safety. She currently works as a coordinator between the Chilean Red Cross and the Chilean government in issues related to natural catastrophes. She is an experienced mountaineer and skier, having completed several regional and international climbing expeditions. In February 2010, Marcia was part of the Red Cross Rescue Team that evacuated and rescued individuals after a large earthquake in central Chile.
Marcia was born in Temuco, a city in southern Chile. Marcia loves her town because she has access to mountains, volcanoes, forests, lakes and national parks. In her downtime she enjoys spending time in nature and participating in all different types of sports and activities including:
Marcia studied Environmental Management at Universidad Tecnológica de Chile, INACAP Tumeco.
In addition to being an engineer, Marcia owns a lingerie boutique and designs various pieces for her business. In Marcia’s line of work, a woman can begin to feel unsexy while wearing work boots and a helmet all day. The boutique gives Marcia the opportunity to step away from her everyday wardrobe and celebrate her femininity.
